LSU Softball Head Coach Beth Torina spoke to the media ahead of her team’s first SEC road trip of the season.
LSU is coming off a weekend where they swept Kentucky in their SEC series of the season. Coach Torina and her team are feeling good and are ready to go against Georgia.
“Anytime you can sweep somebody in the SEC it’s a big deal, so I think everybody’s excited,” Coach Torina said.
The LSU bats have been hot as of late and one standout player is Tori Edwards who has nine RBI’s in her last four games.
“Thinking about the fact that we have her for another three years is incredible to think about,” Coach Torina said about Edwards. “She is as special as any player in the country.”
LSU Softball kicks off the series against Georgia starting on Friday, March 21 at 5 p.m. CT inside Jack Turner Softball Stadium in Athens.
