The Louisiana State University Minority Women’s Movement group has created a drive for donated products for women who may be struggling financially.
Located at the Women’s Center on LSU campus, the building is filled with signs and cutouts to celebrate with women and contribute to women’s society. Donations for the hygiene drive will be accepted through March 24th at the Women’s Center.
Items like pads, tampons, and other sanitary items can go a long way in the community and this group is making sure women have a way to get them.
The Community Service Chair, Angelica Mangual-Cruz, gives her envision for the future of the drive.
“I want women around campus to have access to these products that they may not be able to afford or cannot find on campus,” Mangual-Cruz said.
As women’s month is being celebrated this month, they want to show women on campus that they have safe space for any needs they may have.
