LSU gymnastics graduate student Sierra Ballard was named to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team for the third straight year, the SEC announced on Friday.
The SEC’s Community Service Teams represent all 22 conference sports and look to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community.
Ballard is one of nine members of the SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team. Ballard was recognized for her continued efforts to serve the LSU and Baton Rouge communities.
Ballard serves off the floor as the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at LSU. As SAAC president, she participated in the MLK Day of Service, Geaux Day, Wheels To Succeed, Girls on the Run and the Special Olympics bowling tournament. She has also appeared at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.
Ballard is a prominent leader on the floor for the Tigers, and her performances on beam and floor set the tone for each rotation.
Her team begins this weekend’s postseason journey as they compete in the SEC Championship meet in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday. LSU competes in the evening block with Oklahoma, Florida and Missouri, starting at 7 p.m. CT.
