With LSU Gymnastics taking home their sixth SEC Championship win, fans are over the moon by the performance and skill the Tigers brought. There wasn’t expected to be a huge crowd of Tiger fans since the Legacy Arena is a total of 407 miles away from Baton Rouge. But the fans that showed up, showed out.
In return LSU gave their fans a performance that they will take back with them. LSU went against Missouri, Oklahoma and Florida in a hard fought battle. After the 3rd rotation, it wasn’t looking promising for the Tigers, the Gators were up by 0.100 points and many thought they would drop the crown.
But, it was Haleigh Bryant’s vault routine that would secure and protect the crown for the Tigers, to then advance to the NCAA Championships.
“We try our best to not even talk about scores, it’s really about focusing on the performance quality that we have and we were able to do that again tonight,” Head Coach Jay Clark said.
The final scores for the teams were LSU with a 198.200, Missouri with a 197.400, Oklahoma with a 197.925 and Florida with a 197.825. The Tigers scored the highest on vault with a 49.625
The NCAA schedule has not been released yet, but with the skill set in all-arounds, LSU will not be lacking in skill sets. And will hopefully defend the crown and bring home their second National Championship win.
