The annual SEC gymnastics awards feature four LSU gymnasts on All-SEC teams, with Kailin Chio earning the Freshman of the Year honor.
The Tigers’ four All-SEC members include Haleigh Bryant, Aleah Finnegan and sophomore Konnor McClain. Kailin Chio was named to the All-Freshman team.
Bryant was named the SEC All-Around Champion for the second straight year. She now owns five SEC titles and seven All-SEC honors, and she claimed two honors on vault and floor this year.
Finnegan earned her first SEC individual title of her career. She also earned All-SEC honors on vault, beam and the all-around this year.
McClain was honored for the second consecutive year on the All-SEC list on bars with her NQS of 9.925.
Chio was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and the 2025 SEC Freshman of the Year following a historic freshman season. She set a conference record for most Freshman of the Week honors, earning nine out of the 11 awards this season.
Chio has been a consistent key to LSU’s journey to the program’s first-ever No. 1 seed for the NCAA postseason. She ranks in the top 20 in all events and even in the top 10 in vault, beam, and all-around. Chio heads into her first NCAA postseason with an NQS of 9.9+ on every event. She is ranked second on vault, 16th on bars, sixth on beam and 11th on floor. Chio’s all-around NQS of 39.670 ranks fifth in the country.
LSU will enter the NCAA postseason as the No. 1 seed for the first time in program history. But the Tigers are no stranger to the NCAA postseason, with this season marking the 40th straight regional berth.
The Tigers will begin their journey to the NCAA Gymnastics Championships at the Penn State Regional beginning on Thursday, April 3.
