LSU Football’s draft prospects took to the indoor practice facility on Wednesday in an attempt to show off their skills at LSU’s 2025 Pro Day.
This year’s pro day featured 16 LSU players all looking to impress the dozens of NFL scouts, coaches and general managers in attendance. Will Campbell is projected by many to be the highest drafted Tiger in the 2025 NFL Draft, despite recent discourse surrounding an important feature of an offensive tackle: arm length. At the Combine, Campbell’s arms came in at 32 ⅝ inches. At Pro Day, that measurement improved to 33 inches. He expressed his frustration with the arm length debate to the media following Pro Day.
“For two years, nobody had any measurements on me and nobody said anything about my play,” Campbell said. “So now, all of a sudden, arm length decides if I’m a good player or not? I think it’s B.S.”
Running back Josh Williams and tight end Mason Taylor also spoke to the media after boasting impressive performances in multiple drills. Standing at just 5-feet-9-inches, Williams soared for a 42-inch vertical. That number would have him at No. 2 at the 2025 NFL Combine and No. 3 by a running back in Combine history. Williams also clocked a speedy 4.45 40-yard-dash.
Williams walked onto the LSU Football squad in 2019. He displayed bursts of passion and emotion following every drill, exemplifying the integral role he has developed in his time as a Tiger. “It’s been a long journey for me in this process of getting ready for this day,” Williams said. A lot of doubts from a lot of people, a lot of people that don’t think I can run fast, thinking I’m a 4.6, possibly a 4.7, and I just had that fire in me to prove everybody wrong.”
