LSU Softball players speak to the media after their road trip against the Georgia Bulldogs and begin prepping for this weekend’s matchup against the 11th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks.
Outfielder Jalia Lassiter talks about her transition into the LSU locker room and how she’s developed her role onto the team.
“It’s amazing, if I’m not getting it done, Dee [Danieca Coffey] will, or anyone in that starting nine will get it done for us,” Jalia Lassiter said.
“We are just so different, we have speed, more power, we have many different qualities on the team to get the job done.”
After taking the series on their first road trip in conference play against the Georgia Bulldogs, the Tigers find themselves with a 5-1 record in SEC play, and improve to 30-2 on the season. Lassiter highlights how important it is for players to stay true to their game and to continue being themselves.
“I believe if we continue to play LSU softball, we carry many different aspects and qualities,” Lassiter said. “ I think if we play our game and limit our mistakes, we will come out on top.”
Jalia Lassiter and the Tigers have their hands full with a tall order against South Carolina this weekend, as the first game against the Gamecocks will be on Friday at 5PM in Tiger Park.
