LSU Utility Player Tori Edwards and Pitcher Sydney Berzon helped lead the Tigers to a win against the South Carolina Gamecocks, keeping them undefeated at home.

Edwards had her third grand slam of the season against South Carolina and had a team-best five RBI.

“We knew it was going to be a fight until the end,” Edwards said.

Berzon helped keep the offense strong by pitching four scoreless innings. Despite giving up three runs in the fifth inning, Berzon had a strong game in the first series against South Carolina.

“With the way that my offense performs and my defense performs behind me, there’s never a doubt in my mind that we’re gonna pull these games,” Berzon said.

The Lady Tigers return to Tiger Park to play the Gamecocks on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. CST.
