LSU Football opened the first 45 minutes of spring practice to the media Tuesday after last Saturday’s open practice in Tiger Stadium and the tragic news of former wide receiver Kyren Lacy’s passing.
The lines focused on one-on-one drills and the receivers were even doing a few run drills.
The college football transfer portal officially opens Wednesday and will be open for 10 days through April 25, but Head Coach Brian Kelly mentioned in the press conference following practice he is happy with the current roster.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t have anyone in the portal on either side, either leaving our program or adding,” Kelly said. “If you asked me right now, I’d be happy to take this roster right into May.”
Kelly also recognized the mid-year freshmen who have been putting in the work during practice. He praised their maturity and desire to compete with the team’s veterans.
