Trump doesn’t care about you, your rights or your money. Since taking office, his actions have shown his lack of compassion for human rights and the people of the United States.
After illegally deporting Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the Trump administration called it an “administrative error.” Garcia had “withholding from removal” status, meaning he was the subject of a deportation order but was allowed to stay in the U.S. for his own safety.
A federal appeals court and the Supreme Court instructed the White House to take more action to see that Garcia returned. However, the White House has only made efforts to describe Garcia as a gang member and a terrorist.
Now, after being ordered by a federal judge to answer questions about the wrongful deportation, the Trump administration has asked the judge to pause discovery in a sealed motion, according to an article by ABC News.
I don’t understand how people can watch this happen and still not see that Trump doesn’t care about other human beings. While I can’t be certain, it seems that all he cares about is power, notoriety and money.
By pushing aside this massive mistake, Trump is showing his blatant disregard for the people in our country. He doesn’t care about the pain he’s causing Garcia’s wife and child, who are both citizens of the U.S.
This lack of remorse has been evident in Trump from the beginning. He can’t admit fault or try to correct mistakes; rather, he needs to try to justify them or just straight-up ignore them.
While many may feel this situation should only cause fear for citizens born outside the country, if you got into a bad situation because of Trump that wasn’t easy to fix, do you think he’d go out of his way to help you? He certainly would not.
This situation solidifies in my mind how cruel Trump really is. It’s not that it’s a surprise, but I’m hoping it’ll also open the eyes of some people who’ve been turning a blind eye ever since his run for re-election.
