Seven former LSU Tigers were taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The first of seven draftees was the suspected top-5 pick Will Campbell who went No.4 overall to the New England Patriots. Thursday, Campbell became the highest drafted offensive lineman in program history.
Friday, Mason Taylor became the second-highest drafted Tight End for the Tigers as he was the 42nd pick to the New York Jets. The son of NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, Mason capped his three years with the Tigers as the program’s all-time leader for receptions and receiving yards by a tight end. He’s also the only tight end in LSU history to catch 100 passes and accumulate 1,000 receiving yards in a career.
Emery Jones Jr. was next off the board as the 91st pick is set to be a Baltimore Raven. The selection of Campbell and Jones Jr. is the first time in program history the Tigers have had two offensive linemen selected in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft.
Sai’vion Jones was selected in the third round at the 101st pick that belonged to the Denver Broncos. He started 29 games in four years, racking up 17 tackles for loss and 11 sacks over the past three seasons.
Another star on the LSU Defensive line this past season was Bradyn Swinson, who will be joining his former teammate Will Campbell in New England. The 146th pick led the Tigers in tackles for loss during the 2024 season.
The last two Tigers taken were offensive tackles Miles Frazier and Garrett Dellinger who were drafted by Detroit and Baltimore, respectively, meaning that all four of the Tigers lineman were selected.
Though not drafted there were a select few Tigers that have signed with teams as Undrafted Free Agents. Running back Josh Williams signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cornerback Zy Alexander signed with the Seattle Seahawks, Major Burns signed with the Chicago Bears and Defensive end Paris Shand signed with the Buffalo Bills.
