The Dutch Bros Coffee that’s been in construction for the better part of the fall will officially open Wednesday, the company announced.
It’s located just over a mile from LSU campus at 625 Frogmore Drive. The coffee spot is between Wendy’s and Andy’s Frozen Custard.
Dutch Bros Coffee is a drive-thru coffee shop chain known for its customer service that originated on the West Coast.
Brothers Dane and Travis Boersma opened their first coffee cart shop in 1992 in Grant Pass, Oregon. The first franchise opened in 2000. Twenty-five years later, Dutch Bros has more than 950 locations across the country. The company has aimed to improve lives over the years through charity events and givebacks like Drink One For Dane, an event to raise funds for ALS and honor co-founder Dane after his diagnosis.
