LSU Men’s Basketball defeated Alcorn State 107 to 81 on Tuesday night. It was a tough win for the Tigers as Alcorn State stayed in it until the second half. A big game from Michael Nwoko helped the Tigers pull out the win.
Nwoko recorded 29 points in only 19 minutes of action. He looked like a monster down in the post with his skill and physicality.
“Baby food,” Nwoko said when asked what he saw out there. “That’s really about it, ain’t nothing to it just put the ball in the hoop.”
Although the Tigers did win, guard Dedan Thomas Jr. thinks they still have a lot to improve on and that the team will continue to get better with every game.
“We’re nowhere near as like how good we are going to be,” Thomas Jr. said. “You know still really early in the season. So, I’m glad we’re getting these kinks out right now. I mean we’re winning games still.”
The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. CT to take on the Omaha Mavericks inside the PMAC.
