LSU Football will finish out their regular season this Thanksgiving weekend in Norman, Oklahoma.
The (7-4) Tigers and (9-2) Sooners are coming off of scrappy and low-scoring games. The Sooners held a respected Missouri rushing offense that averages 226 yards a game to only 70 rushing yards.
The Sooners are playing to hopefully secure a spot in the playoffs. Much like LSU, Oklahoma has relied on their defense to finish games in the back half of their season.
“You should relish the opportunity to go out there and do it again,” Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables told his defense.
It is no secret that LSU has had their fair share of offensive struggles this season. Matters will only be worse this coming Saturday because offensive linemen Braelin Moore and Ory Williams are doubtful to play.
Interim head coach Frank Wilson talked about how the depth of the team’s roster will be tested in “November football.”
“That’s a part of football,” Wilson said. “The next man up mentality.”
There is a high possibility the Tigers end their regular season getting shut out by a nationally recognized Sooner defense.
