LSU Football’s most highly ranked recruit DT Lamar Brown, has officially signed with LSU. 

The No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 ESPN 300 from University Lab School had been verbally committed to the Tigers since July. 

Brown has been a huge voice within the class of 2026, publicly maintaining his commitment to the university following the firing of Brian Kelly and the hiring of Lane Kiffin. 

When Kiffin first arrived at the LSU Football Operations Center late Sunday evening, one of the first things he did was meet with Brown and his family. Brown posted a photo to his social media with Coach Kiffin shortly after. 

On National Signing Day however, it was revealed that Brown would be delaying his official signature until he had more clarity on the defensive staff. 

Brown will become LSU Football’s first No. 1 overall prospect since Leonard Fournette in 2014.
