LSU announced campus will be closed on Monday, with classes held in whatever fashion determined by each instructor, due to the conditions expected from the approaching winter storm.

The storm is expected to hit south Louisiana with rain and freezing temperatures leading to dangerous icy roads.

LSU Online students will proceed with coursework as usual, while the Vet School will be communicating separately with its students about its operations, the announcement said.

LSU’s University Lab School and LSU Early Childhood Education Lab Preschool will also be closed.

Southern University and other East Baton Rouge schools have also moved to virtual classes.

The email did not say if classes will resume as normal on Tuesday.
