LSU has landed a commitment from former Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, fortifying an offensive line that was the Tigers’ greatest weakness last season.

Seaton announced his decision on his Instagram Friday night after several days of reported negotiations with LSU and other interested teams, which reportedly included Oregon and Miami.

Seaton was at LSU for a multi-day visit from Sunday to Tuesday.

Seaton, who stands at 6 feet 5 inches and 330 pounds, is listed as the No. 4 player in the transfer portal this cycle per 247Sports.

He is from Washington, D.C., but played his high school football at IMG Academy before committing to Colorado.

Seaton is the highest-rated offensive tackle in the portal and is highly decorated as a college tackle. He was named a Shaun Alexander Freshman Player of the Year Semifinalist and the CFN Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2024. He was also named a freshman All-American by On3, 247Sports and PFF.

As a sophomore, he was named to the All-Big 12 second team, after he allowed one sack, zero quarterback hits and five pressures in nine games.

Seaton missed his last three games due to a knee injury.

Seaton joins former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and Ole Miss edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen as top five players to commit to LSU in the transfer portal this cycle.

LSU’s offensive line was poor at protecting the quarterback and creating rushing lanes in 2025, and adding a likely future NFL player in Seaton changes the outlook dramatically.

After the season, LSU saw eight different offensive lineman hit the transfer portal.

In addition to Seaton, LSU has also added Maryland’s Aliou Bah, Ole Miss’ Devin Harper, Baylor’s Sean Thompkins, Kentucky’s Darrin Strey, Tennessee’s William Satterwhite, NC Central’s Ja’Quan Sprinkle, Nicholls State’s Ja’Mard Jones and Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s JaKolby Jones across the offensive line.
