Guard Zakiyah Johnson and Forward Kate Koval spoke to the media after LSU’s dominant win against Alabama where the Tigers won 103-63.

LSU’s key to winning this game was their strength in numbers, having four different players reaching double digits in scoring, and six different players recording at least one block.

“We have a lot of depth on our team,” Johnson said. “Everyone knows what to do once they come out there.”

LSU’s defense was dominant in this win against Alabama. The most eye-glaring stat is blocks. LSU totaled 11 blocks as a team, and Koval led the team in blocks with three.

Koval said, “ Blocking shots just brings so much energy, and we just get hype for each other. I feel like it definitely is contagious.”

LSU will travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
