It’s time to pull out your green because St. Patrick’s Day is soon approaching, and the capital city has a lot of festivities planned for March 14.
7th Annual Wearin’ of the Green 5K Shamrock Run
The Shamrock Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Moreau Physical Therapy.
This is the perfect opportunity to get your workout in for the day while celebrating the Irish. Registration is open until March 13, with fees standing at $55 until Feb. 28.
Wearin’ of the Green St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Following the run, it’s time to bring the leftover Mardi Gras energy and catch all the cabbage and beads you want.
The Wearin’ of the Green St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m., with well-known meteorologist Jim Cantore serving as grand marshal.
The parade will begin at Hundred Oaks Boulevard and South Acadian Thruway and travel through the Garden District before ending at Perkins Road and Stanford Avenue.
Earlapalooza
Although Uncle Earl’s closed down in January 2026, they will still be hosting their highly anticipated “Earlapalooza.” Under the overpass, hosted at Colonel’s Club, you will find entertainment from KG & the Bad Habits, 1Connor Martin, Parish County Line, and Boosie.
The event will start following the parade, and general admission tickets are available on Ticketmaster starting at $71.
