LSU Football star cornerback Mansoor Delan is headed to the Kansas City Chiefs after being selected with the 6th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Virginia Tech transfer was the best cornerback in all of college football this past year and he got rewarded with being the highest LSU corner taken since Derek Stingley Jr. who went number three overall in the 2022 NFL draft.
Delane was pivotal in the Tigers top 25 ranked defense in 2025 as he hauled in two interceptions and knocked away 11 passes with LSU in his final year of college. His impressive performances were recognized by the voters as he was a consensus AP All-American in 2025.
Delane joins a Kansas City team that has dominated professional football for the past decade but faltered in 2025 after an injury-riddled season. The Chiefs lost their four best cornerbacks in the offseason, meaning Delane will slot in perfectly in Kansas City.
