Lil Wayne Hospitalized
Rapper Lil Wayne was hospitalized this past Tuesday after reportedly having what appeared to be multiple seizures. TMZ is reporting that Lil Wayne experienced the seizures after filming a music video in Los Angeles and was quickly taken to Ceders Sinai Hospital for treatment. The rapper was released early Wednesday morning and is reportedly doing much better.
This isn’t Lil Wayne’s first run-in with seizures. He experienced two separate seizures on two different planes last October which led doctors to prescribe medication and advice the rapper to temporarily avoid flying.
Justin Bieber Goes on Social Media Rant
After almost getting into a fight with a paparazzo, being late to his own concert, and causing mayhem during his birthday in London, it’s been quite a tough few weeks in the press for Justin Bieber. It seems like the pop star has finally had enough. The Biebs took to Instagram this week to share his grievances with his fans and to blast the media for the “countless lies.”
Here’s an excerpt from his lengthy post:
“I’m a good person with a big heart,” he wrote. “And don’t think I deserve all this negative press I’ve worked my ass off to get where I am and my hard work doesn’t stop here…All this isn’t easy. I get angry sometimes. I’m human. I’m gonna make mistakes. In gonna grow and get better from them. But all the love from you guys overcomes the negativity. I love u. Thanks.”
Despite the fact that he tried to come across as an innocent victim, his first post didn’t quite present that image. In Justin’s original post, he included a controversial dig at actress Lindsay Lohan, ending the post with, “And to those comparing me to Lindsey Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements ;).” He deleting that post about ten minutes after his 7 million+ Instagram followers had an opportunity to see it and decided to replace it with a softer message.
Taylor Swift Fan Mail Found in Dumpster
This is news that no “Swiftie” ever wants to hear. Over the weekend, hundreds of unopened fan mail addressed to singer, Taylor Swift, were found in a Nashville dumpster. A Nashville resident was throwing out her own trash when she came across the unopened mail and decided she needed to bring the situation to Taylor Swift’s attention.
Addressed to a P.O Box at a local Nashville strip mall where Swift’s “people” go every so often to pick up fan mail, the letters were from all over the world and decked out with pictures, hearts, glitter, and more.
Taylor Swift’s spokesperson, Paula Erickson, spoke to Nashville’s WKRN-TV about the incident, saying, “Taylor gets thousands of fan letters every day and they are delivered to her management office. After the letters are opened and read, they are recycled,” Erickson continued, “The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center.”
The letters have since been handed off to Taylor’s public relations firm.
Lady Gaga Stuns in Gold-Plated Wheelchair
Just when you think Lady Gaga has pushed the limit of being out-of-the-box and bizarre, she takes it one step further. Gaga has had to lie low for the past few weeks while recovering from the hip surgery she had last month, but she made her first public appearance in true “Mother Monster” fashion.
The pop star was wheeled out of her NYC hotel this week in a 24-karat-gold-plated wheelchair created just for her. The wheelchair also features a removable canopy and tufted leather seat. Ken Borochov, the designer of the chair, told People Magazine about his creation saying, “I was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen.”
