LSU sophomore forward Johnny O’Bryant III was named Second Team All-Southeastern Conference by the Associated Press on Monday, a week removed from being named to the first team by the league’s coaches.
O’Bryant led the Tigers (19-12, 10-0 SEC) in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.6 points per game and grabbing 8.7 rebounds a contest.
Battling injury for the majority of the Tigers’ non-conference slate, O’Bryant came alive in SEC play to score in double digits in 15 of 20 conference games, while posting 15 double doubles throughout the season.
