Troy Beetles, known by his stage name Datsik, has been at the forefront of dubstep ever since it made the trip across the atlantic to North America.
The young Canadian has been playing high-energy shows in the US for years now. With the release of his first full-length album, Vitamin D, in 2012 and collaborative projects with Bassnectar, Infected Mushroom, Excision, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, his quickly expanding musical library has reached Bass Heads around the world.
His current live shows feature a stage piece known as “The Vortex,” a cone-shaped enclosure used as a screen for live video effects which adds three-dimensional depth to his performances.
