On Wednesday April 10, An Evening with Colin and Brad packed the LSU Union Theater for a fantastically hilarious performance.
Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood performed their two man show to much applause and laughter from the audience. They began their performance with the improv game Moving Bodies where two members act like puppet masters for the two comedians as they perform a scene. In this instance, Mochrie and Sherwood were two Yugoslavian men who were alligator hunting.
Another highlight of the night was a game where Mochrie had to guess a crime he committed with help from Sherwood. The crime, which the audience came up with, was painting a penguin purple while impersonating Richard Simmons in Opelousas, Louisiana at Aloysius’s Donut and Hole Maintenance with a bicycle reflector and boudin. Comedic gold.
The final highlight of the night was when Mochrie and Sherwood performed a scene while blindfolded in a minefield of 100 set mouse traps. Both the pain the two felt and the laughter from the audience was real.
To close the night, the duo sang a song with mostly improvised lyrics and spoke of the legend that will be “The Night Colin and Brad Played LSU.” It was a legendary night indeed.
