Beyoncé Under Fire By PETA
It seems like everywhere Beyoncé goes, controversy seems to follow. From lip-syncing at the presidential inauguration to the power going out right after her electrifying Super Bowl performance. Now, the singer is catching heat from animal rights organization, PETA.
The latest bit of controversy was stirred up this week after custom sneaker designer, Perfectly Made Kicks, revealed its Beyoncé-inspired shoes that were approved by the singer herself. The problem with the shoes, according to PETA, is that they were made from the skins of stingrays, ostriches, calves, crocodiles, and anacondas. According to a press release by PETA, “These custom-made kicks come with a high price and it’s paid by the various animals who were beaten and skinned alive or cruelly farmed and killed…”
Of course Perfectly Made Kicks couldn’t let PETA have the last word, and clarified that Beyoncé is not at fault, stating that no animals “were “beaten, harmed, or killed” in the creation of the custom King Beys, and adding the animal skins “are not in association with any decisions, requests, or opinions of Beyoncé and her affiliated parties.”
Jennifer Lawrence Caught Smoking
On the heels of her first Oscar win this past Sunday, “Silver Linings Playbook” star, Jennifer Lawrence, was caught having a little too much fun in Hawaii this week.
Lawrence is currently in Hawaii to film reshoots for the Hunger Games sequel, “Catching Fire”, and was caught by paparazzi during some down time at her hotel. While hanging out on the balcony with her co-star, Josh Hutcherson, the paps caught Jennifer with a bottle of wine and a lighter in one hand and a large, rolled up cigarette that, allegedly, is a joint, in the other hand.
When Lawrence was previously asked by Spin magazine if she smokes pot, she replied by saying, “I so cannot answer that question. I’m in a franchise.”
New “Dancing With The Stars” Cast Announced
The hit ABC reality show, “Dancing With The Stars,” is officially gearing up for its 16th season. The network announced its new, diverse cast full of Disney stars, Olympic gymnasts, Super Bowl champions, and more.

Scary Spice Joins “America’s Got Talent”
Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, has officially joined the judges panel on NBC’s, “America’s Got Talent.”
Brown will be replacing former judge, Sharon Osbourne, who left the show last season after seven years, and will be join Howard Stern and Howie Mandel on the panel.
This will be Brown’s first competition show in the states, but she’s a veteran to the genre having judged on both Australia and the UK’s “X-Factor”.
“America’s Got Talent” is set to premiere this summer on NBC.
