The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program on LSU’s campus has over 100 students in both the Undergraduate and Graduate Schools volunteering as income tax preparers.

They prepare Federal and State Income Tax Returns for free for the community snf have all been through IRS training, are certified to prepare returns through the Link & Learn Program.

We file returns electronically – Any refunds can be direct deposited into your bank account! We prepare returns at in the Facility Services Cafeteria during the week and offer a self-assisted site in the Union.

The Facility Services site is open until April 15th. The hours are as follows:

Tuesdays………… 2-6pm (Exceptions: Closed 2/12 and 4/2)

Wednesdays……. 4-8pm (Exceptions: Closed 2/13 and 4/3)

Thursdays………. 4-8pm (Exceptions: Closed 4/4)

Also open on: Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9am – 12pm, Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 9am – 12pm, and Monday, April 15, 2013 from 2pm-4pm.

The Union site is located at 305 Caddo Room. This is a self-assisted site and is open from 2pm-4pm on Wednesdays.
