LSU senior Kimberlyn Duncan headlines a group of 13 current and former members of the LSU Track & Field program that will begin competing at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships today.
They will look to join Team USA by qualifying for the 2013 IAAF World Championships over the next four days of competition at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
Duncan is coming off her third-straight NCAA Outdoor championship in the 200 meter and will try to qualify in the 200-meter dash Thursday and the 100-meter dash Saturday.
She is joined by LSU senior Charlene Lipsey and LSU Tiger sophomores, Rodney Brown and Aaron Ernest.
The former Lady Tigers in attendance include hurdlers Lolo Jones, Tenaya Jones and Cassandra Jones, as well as runners Rebecca Alexander, Muna Lee and LaTavia Thomas.
The former Tigers who will compete are Jeremy Hicks in the long jump, Richard Jones in the 800-meter and Barrett Nugent in the 110-meter hurdles.
Those current and former Tigers and Lady Tigers who qualify for Team USA will get to travel to Moscow, Russia, for the IAAF World Championships.
