The Irish pot of gold will have a little purple and gold inside when the University band travels to Dublin, Ireland to perform in the St. Patricks Day Parade.
Departing Friday, the Golden Band from Tigerland was invited to perform in the parade which takes place Monday.
“I’m really excited,” Junior ISDS Ian Piper said, “I have never been out of the country so I’m ready to just take it all in.”
Even though the band will be traveling overseas, Piper said this performance is just like preparing for a Mardi Gras Parade.
The Tiger Band will be preforming crowd favorites such as “Pregame”, “Fighting Tigers”, and the controversial “Neck”.
“Roy King wanted us to infect Ireland with Neck,” said sophomore Ceallaigh Montgomery.
The Tiger Band will leave Ireland and return to Baton Rouge on Tuesday.
