Flow Tribe made its way into the good ol Red Stick last Saturday, 2/15/2014. Once again the boys of Flow Tribe not only put on a great show, but made the night a whole experience for the pumped crowd. They brought the funk and more so, looked amazing doing it.
In his now iconic beanie, lead singer K.C. O’Rorke took the stage with raw enthusiasm and unmatched dance moves. Syncing up, three of the members did a side-step dance together that really got the crowd moving. Shout out to the multi-talented harmonica, washboard and tambourine player John Michael Early who’s ear to ear smile and passion for da funk lite up the stage all night. Early and O’Rorke’s chemistry on stage was inspiring; dancing and singing together, they were having more fun than anyone in the building that night.
Obviously loving their day job, this six member funk band from New Orleans hit the crowd with their classics on Saturday, performing tunes such as Hungry for You, Gosando (personal favorite) and Walk Like an Animal. As demanded by the crowd, the group played an encore performance with an additional three song set.
Flow Tribe has created a solid Baton Rouge following and we hope to see them here more often. Congrats boys, you’ve made it.
