Fall sports are winding down at LSU. However, it cannot be overlooked that the volleyball team recently went on an 11 game winning streak.
All though the streak was snapped last Sunday against Mississippi State, head coach Fran Flory was still very happy with the way her team has been performing.
“It was never about the streak” Coach Flory said.
One way Coach Flory bonded the team was by having her read a chapter of an inspirational book to them before their practices.
Another big aspect to the team is junior Haley Smith. Smith was named this week’s SEC Defensive Player of the week.
“It’s a great award to have,” Smith remarked.
LSU has three games remaining this season, all of which are against SEC opponents.
“We believe we can continue to get better,” Coach Flory concluded.
