We’re kicking it off first with some hardcore and ska-core punk, but really getting the party started with some early English anarcho-punk. Then on to some American punk classics with a few punk-turned-alt-rock groups. After, some dance punk you can cut shapes to with new wave to top off the dance party. Don’t forget Joy Division and Bauhaus covers. Yes, I find the impossible: a post-punk song by a dream pop group. Lastly, a few punk tracks thanks to MØ who passed by Spanish Moon October 7.
One of my favorite tracks of the playlist is the post-punk song “Wax and Wane” by the dreamy Cocteau Twins. Check out a live performance of the song in De Meervaat, Amsterdam Januart 29, 1983 below.
