The senate election in Louisiana is days away and a USA Today poll shows that incumbent Mary Landrieu may be in trouble.
“There are polls that show all sorts of things the only poll that matters is on Election Day,” Landrieu says.
According to the poll, Landrieu is ahead of Republican challenger Bill Cassidy by only one percent with 36% of the vote. The poll also suggests a possible December runoff between Cassidy and Landrieu. If so, the results indicate that Cassidy will lead with 48% of the vote to Landrieu’s 41%. But Landrieu stays positive.
Landrieu says that her opponent Cassidy is making the senate election about Obama because he has done nothing for Louisiana.
“All he can do is talk about the failing of Obama, Obama has done some things good some things not so good but he’s not on the ballot the future of Louisiana is on the ballot.”
