In crisis situations who do you call? Lately, there have been many crimes and incidents that have  taken place on off campus housing complexes near LSU.  How are these situations handled and what precautions can students take to be safe?
Cory Lalonde Captain of LSU Police Department explains that off campus situations are dealt on case by case situations. Lalonde states that LSUPD only has jurisdiction on crimes or incidents that take place on LSU property and the campus. Lalonde states that situations that occur off campus should be handled by Baton Rouge Police Department, but if the problems first occurs on campus LSUPD will take part in the investigation.
