Hurray for the Riff Raff is an alt-folk/country group out of New Orleans.
The group is fronted by songwriter Alynda Lee Segarra, a Bronx native.
They have released three albums so far: It Don’t Mean I Don’t Love You (2008), Young Blood Blues (2010), Look Out Mama (2012) and their fourth full-length album, Small Town Heroes (2014) is slated for release just before Valentine’s Day.
With cajun influences, striking vocals, and rich, soulful lyrics, Hurray for the Riff Raff has steadily gained popularity in South Louisiana and worldwide- they have been featured on HBO’s Treme and been written about in the New York Times.
They will be touring throughout Spring 2014.
