As one of the most influential rock groups ever created, Led Zeppelin remains a beloved name in the hearts of musicians and listeners throughout the world.
Started in 1968 out of the ashes of “The Yardbirds,” Led Zeppelin was originally not well received by critics, but grew in popularity album after album.
The four man group consisted of lead guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, drummer John Bonham and bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones.
Originally drawing heavily from blues roots, Led Zeppelin expanded it’s reach into all sorts of genre’s, from heavy metal to folk.
Famous for their wild and massively successful tours, the band disbanded after drummer, John Bonham, died in 1980. But their legacy lives on as one of the gratest, most complex bands of all time.
