A third LSU player is on his way to Jacksonville as defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson was drafted by the Jaguars Saturday.
Jefferson played his final college season at LSU after playing four years at West Virginia. In his final season he became one of LSU’s best defensive lineman, tallying 36 tackles with 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble on the interior.
He joins defensive tackle partner Maason Smith with the Jaguars as well as wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. Jefferson’s strength stood out most during the the pre-draft process, tallying 34 reps on the bench press at the NFL Combine.
His size and strength made him a solid piece of LSU’s interior, and the Jaguars hope that will translate in the NFL.
Jordan Jefferson selected 166th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars
