From noon to 1 p.m., André St. Romain of the West Baton Rouge Museum will host a free workshop in conjunction with the exhibit “Mitoloji Latannyèr/Mythologies Louisianaises,” which is on display at the Capitol Park Museum. The workshop will highlight French and Creole expressions used throughout the exhibit and enlighten listeners on their meaning, pronunciation and etymology.

The Family Dinner Comedy Troupe presents an interactive movie experience during the showing of “Point Break” at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Theatre at the Shaw Center. The experience will include improv, commentary, drinking games and more. Tickets are $11 and can be purchased here.

The Water Lantern Festival is coming to Baton Rouge to put on an evening of celebration, serenity and light with thousands of paper lanterns. In addition to the lanterns, there will be food trucks, live music and other activities in this festival for all ages.
