The LSU Manship School of Mass Communication took 25 students to France from July 20 to Aug. 4 for the 2024 Summer Paris Olympics.
Starting their journey in Marseille, France they explored the culture and attended an Olympic event: the USA versus France futbol game. After four days in Marseille they chartered to Lyon, France for the next phase of the project.
In Lyon the students attended their second Olympic event, Women’s futbol Columbia versus France. The students continued to work on their projects and learning more about the games at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.
To wrap up their trip the students spent the last week in Paris attending more events, such as beach volleyball and tennis. Some students even took it upon themselves to attend other events like: bad mitten, boxing, water polo and indoor volleyball. While in Paris the students also learned more about France’s history, culture, art and the games.
