LSU women’s basketball scored its first national championship in program history after defeating Iowa 102-85
LSU’s offensive output was too much for the Hawkeyes, shooting 54.3% from the field. That effort was led by Jasmine Carson who scored 22 points, 21 of which coming in the first half.
The Tigers led by 17 at halftime and scored 59 points, the most in a half in national championship history.
