Google users are in for a treat today as the search engine releases a feature that turns its mapping technology into a nostalgic game experience.
People using Google Maps can procrastinate in finding their desired location by clicking the bottom left Pac-Man icon. Doing so will take the roads shown and transform them into the iconic arcade game.
The feature comes a day before April Fools’, which could suggest Google is preparing us for another of its big pranks, tricks or jokes. It doesn’t work on an embedded map, but when you click “View on Google Maps” the Pac-Man option returns to turn your map into the Pac-Man board.
The LSU map is tiny, but also more enjoyable than, say, the University of Alabama board.
