The bodies of two Louisiana National Guard soldiers were recovered after their Black Hawk helicopter crashed Tuesday night (March 10) off Navarre Beach in Florida, officials said.
Two more Hammond-based soldiers are missing, along with seven Marines who were on the on the aircraft at the time of the crash.
The wreckage was located in the Santa Rosa Sound in Florida and a civilian salvage unit is scheduled to recover the aircraft, the National Guard said in a noon press release.
