LSU baseball has announced the championship series will be postponed from Sunday night and pushed to Monday at noon, and a second game, if necessary at 7 p.m.
Threats of bad weather interrupting the already delayed start time are the reason for the postponement.
No. 1 LSU (50-10), will play No. 2 UNC-Wilmington (41-17) for the regional crown on Monday after the Seahawks defeated Tulane 8-2 in an elimination game on Sunday night.
LSU is one win away from moving onto the Super Regionals hosted by the University of Houston. It would take two losses to UNCW to end the Tigers’ season.
