LSU senior all-arounder Rheagan Courville was named the Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week, while freshman all-arounder Erin Macadaeg was named SEC Specialist of the Week.
Courville earned the award for the third time this season, after posting a career-high in the all-around in LSU’s 198.075-196.850 victory against Georgia.
Courville’s score of 39.825 is more than a tenth of a point higher than the second-highest mark.
After earning a share of the NCAA vault title for the second straight season at the NCAA Individual Events Finals in 2014, Courville has returned in her senior season as one of the premier gymnasts in the nation. She currently ranks No. 2 on bars, No. 3 in the all-around, No. 8 on vault and No. 10 on beam.
Macadaeg earned a SEC weekly award for the first time in her young career. She earned the award after posting a career-high on beam Friday night, 9.950.
LSU is traveling to Auburn, Alabama Feb. 13 to compete against Auburn in its fifth consecutive meet involving a SEC opponent.
