BATON ROUGE, la. (AP) — A deputy with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office responded to a call concerning a gun brought to Glasgow Middle School.
According to reports, an anonymous student reported the gun to administration shortly before noon Monday. The 6mm-35 hand gun was found in the student’s pocket loaded with one bullet.
Authorities say the 15-year-old 8th-grader will face a charge of carrying of a firearm on school property. A sheriff’s office news release says the male student will be booked into Juvenile Detention.
The investigation is ongoing.
