LSU student-athletes recognized by Southeastern Conference

Jordan, SEC’s Co-Freshman of the Week, won her first career all-around title against No. 7 Georgia last week, where she set season-high marks on the vault and bars. Her score of 39.250 was the highest in the SEC over the weekend.
Jordan was LSU’s first gymnast to win an all-around title away from Baton Rouge since Susan Jackson won the NCAA All-Around title at the 2010 NCAA Championships.
Lipsey was named the SEC Women’s Runner of the Week for the first time in her career after winning the 800-meter run in a time of 2 minutes, 3.79 seconds in the Razorback Invitational on Saturday. Lipsey’s time is a personal record and currently leads the NCAA.
Hinton was honored as the SEC Women’s Co-Field Athlete of the Week after setting an LSU record in the 20-pound weight throw with a mark of 66 feet, 1.5 inches.
