Current dean of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Eli Jones has accepted the position of dean at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, according to LSU Media Relations.
A news release said Jones will begin his new position July 1 after serving as dean of the E. J. Ourso College since 2008.
“We appreciate the leadership that Eli Jones provided to the E. J. Ourso College during his time here,” LSU Chancellor Michael Martin said in the release. “He has been a good representative of the university, and we certainly did what we could to keep him at LSU.”
Martin also said in the release he wishes Jones and his family the very best.
While at LSU, Jones helped secure funds for the E. J. Ourso College’s new Business Education Complex, according to the news release.
