The LSU Women’s basketball team continued their losing streak with a loss against Arkansas 72-52 on Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers struggled offensively, racking up 27 turnovers, leading to 29 points for the Razorbacks.
Head coach Nikki Caldwell pointed some of their struggles to being undermanned throughout the game.
“We not only had two players missing,” head coach Nikki Caldwell said, “but we had two players suspended.”
Guards Destini Hughes and Jeanne Kenney were injured for the game, and forward Taylor Turnbow was suspended. Guard Bianca Lutley was out for the first half.
Forward Courtney Jones noticed there was a difference. “We missed that spark that Destini and Jeanne would bring,” she said.
Despite the missing players, Jones and guard Adrienne Webb combined for 25 points.
The Lady Tigers hit the road against East Tennessee State on Tuesday, January 24 at 6 p.m.
