Charles Hanigriff and Derek Ponamsky have reported LSU wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales has taken the offensive coordinator job at Illinois.
Gonzales has spent the last two seasons at LSU as the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. He spent five years prior as the wide receivers coach for Florida.
If Gonzales takes the job, he will replace former offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, who was hired as the offensive coordinator at Maryland/
