Smart said Saturday he expects LSU to be more aggressive in its playcalling with senior Jordan Jefferson entrenched as the starting quarterback. He said pressure from the defensive line will be critical in defending the Tigers rushing attack.
“I don’t think they’ll play as conservative as they did last time,” Smart said. “They were in quarterback flux. They were in transition. They’ve got a stable guy now, so obviously they may have more of a game plan for him. But for us it’s not really about what they do. It’s going to be about what we do. And we got to players.”
Crimson Tide senior linebacker Courtney Upshaw said the scout team has performed admirably all season preparing the defense for its opponents.
“Some teams and some players you can’t simulate,” Upshaw said, “but they try and they give us good looks. They are tough guys. They go out and work just as hard as everybody
