LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne and defensive tackle Michael Brockers have declared for the NFL Draft, and more departures could be forthcoming.
Claiborne’s early declaration comes as no surprise. The Shreveport native is projected to be a top 5 draft pick.
Brockers’ announcement comes as a mild surprise, though, as he has been projected from anywhere from a first round pick to middle-to-late round selection.
In other draft news, TigerSportsDigest.com reported Thursday afternoon that Rueben Randle will also declare for the draft before Sunday’s deadline. Randle’s departure would leave the Tigers’ wide receiver corps thinner than expected.
Fellow wideout Russell Shepard appears he will be leaving the school as well, presumably to go pro. Shepard published a series of tweets indicating he is leaning toward the NFL.
